The Sampson County Law Enforcement and Detention Center is located on a 10-acre parcel of land that accommodates future growth. The 65,000 square-feet facility has a main lobby with receptionist work area and a waiting area with video visitation. Adjacent to the lobby is the Sampson County sheriff’s office. This area has approximately 9,100 square feet that can be expanded.

The 250-bed direct supervision jail, expandable to 300, has a vehicular sallyport, intake, booking, and magistrate areas. All housing pods have video visitation rooms and outdoor exercise areas that are controlled by one central control room.
