Moseley Architects, along with design partners Hastings & Chivetta, were commissioned to renovate and expand the two-story recreation sports fitness center. The new addition will seamlessly connect to the existing building and enlarge the fitness and cardio-recreation areas, featuring a new climbing wall and multipurpose classrooms for aerobic exercise alongside the existing racquetball courts.
A new two-story multipurpose court gymnasium will be built adjacent to the main entry.

In keeping with the college’s commitment to high performance design, the project was certified with the US Green Building Council’s LEED® Green Building Rating System, making it the first certified facility on the campus and the first certified recreation center in the Southeast. The following steps were taken to achieve certification.
