Constant Hall Addition and Renovation
College of Business and Public Administration

Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia

Constant Hall provides students and faculty with state-of-the-art learning facilities in a technologically-advanced environment. Consolidating the college under one modernized roof allows a variety of classrooms, computer labs, and meeting rooms as well as faculty, counseling, and administrative offices to be centrally located. The majority of Constant Hall’s classrooms, lecture halls, and conference rooms are on the first level, with the majority of faculty, administrative, and staff offices concentrated on the second level. The wings of the existing U-shaped building were completely renovated and the existing open space between them utilized for a two-story addition. Two atria with clerestory windows provide diffused, natural light to the facility’s interior. Classrooms on the first floor include two technology theaters and an open use computer lab. The second floor contains the Dean’s suite, faculty and administrative offices, seminar, as well as training and conference spaces for the Center for Global Business and Executive Education.
