Glen Allen High School provides the community with a safe, adaptable, state-of-the-art facility and provides students with functional and efficient learning environments. The new design includes academic houses connected by a tall, open "spine" that features clerestory windows as a delineator of public/shared spaces from the academic spaces. Public spaces include a gymnasium, fitness/health spaces, locker rooms, as well as a 1,200-seat auditorium surrounded by spaces dedicated to art, music, and drama programs. The project is  LEED^® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certified with the U.S. Green Building Council.
