The facility, designed to initially accommodate 650 students with future expansion up to 850 students, replaced the existing middle school. The site is located near the high school, between Route 60 and Route 690. One of the goals for this project was to enhance the overall amenities offered in Buckingham County and to include features that can be shared by the high school and middle school. These shared features include competition baseball and softball fields, as well as a large gymnasium. The gymnasium and commons room are located so they may operate after hours for community use, while the academic portion of the building remains secured.
