Pohick Regional Library

Fairfax County
Burke, Virginia

The Pohick Regional Library renovation project consisted of two phases. The first phase focused on assessing the condition of the existing building, programming spaces based on current and future library needs, and developing a conceptual design based on the results of the programming efforts. Phase one also included recommendations for code compliance improvements to the site and building. The second phase consisted of full design services and building construction to update the facility to reflect typical 21st-century amenities, including state-of-the-art technology, quiet rooms and reading areas, flexible meeting areas that promote after-hours use, and creative children-focused spaces.

This project achieved LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
