Ash Building
Wayne Community College

Wayne Community College
Goldsboro, North Carolina

As the first new building on campus in over a decade, the new center is home to the college’s automotive and collision repair program. Previously, the classrooms and bays for these programs were divided between four separate buildings on campus. In addition to classrooms and laboratory bays, the building features workrooms for painting, welding, and repair as well as meeting spaces. The center also offers a new event and student showcase space, faculty offices, study space, and a classroom mezzanine providing an elevated view for students into the shop space for an enhanced learning experience. While the front of the building is conventional, the back of the facility uses a pre-engineered building, which offers flexibility for expanding in the future.
