Advanced Technology Center
Blue Ridge Community College

Blue Ridge Community College
Weyers Cave, Virginia

The new Advanced Technology Center was designed to consolidate the campus’s manufacturing and engineering program as well as electronics and mechanical design programs. Within a compact footprint, the building features labs, classrooms, offices, and consolidates much of the college’s advanced equipment. Featuring an abundance of transparency, the design showcases the building’s activities and channels light and warmth into the interior spaces.

Earning certification with the Green Building Certification Institute in 2012, the center became the first LEED Gold project in the Virginia Community College System.
