Wake County Public School System
Raleigh, North Carolina
Brooks Museums Magnet Elementary School was originally constructed in the 1960s and became North Carolina’s first museums magnet elementary school in 2002. The facility required a major renovation and addition to modernize the learning spaces and refine the environment to support their unique curriculum. The project provided new classrooms, a multi-purpose room, and a media center. The facility’s design incorporates galleries and special exhibition spaces where students’ work can be displayed. Group learning spaces support hands-on projects, class collaboration, and interactive teaching.
