This two-story police station houses office and training spaces for the division’s major, captain, lieutenant, and other officers and deputies. A fitness area and locker rooms are included as well as a private room for new mothers. Police officers can safely operate within the secure perimeter of a 135-vehicle parking lot. The exterior envelope was designed using insulated concrete forms (ICF), which are up to three times more energy efficient, secure, and economical than traditional masonry construction. The public lobby was further hardened with bullet resistant glazing and partitions.
