Harrisonburg, Virginia

This two-story dining facility accommodates both undergraduate students for daily dining and executive event dining functions for the university. The first floor includes a central two-story, terrazzo “rotunda” lobby, as well as the main student dining area, which includes multiple food venues, associated back-of-house kitchen services (receiving, food preparation, storage, and cleaning spaces), and a small convenience store.

The second floor includes a carpeted and wood base upper lobby in the rotunda; an executive dining room that features a fireplace; an executive dining pantry for food preparation and staging, with associated storage spaces; and an outdoor balcony with views to the south for executive events. The executive dining room and balcony also serve the community as a venue for parties and receptions.

This facility earned LEED Gold in 2010, which was a first for the campus.
