Green House at Stadium Place

GEDCO
Baltimore, Maryland

The Green House at Stadium Place, a LEED Silver project, sits on the former site of Baltimore’s Memorial Stadium. It is a skilled nursing facility that utilizes the principles of the Green House model developed by Dr. William Thomas. This revolutionary model redefines nursing care for the elders in our community. The building is divided into four households with twelve residents each. Each private bedroom and private bathroom surrounds a common kitchen and dining room, as well as living room and hearth. Each floor has its own salon and bathing facilities.

The Green House at Stadium Place is part of a national replication model funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and implemented by NCB Capital Impact. This is the first Green House in Maryland and is part of a national trend towards de-institutionalization of long-term care.
