Nash County Courthouse

Nash County
Nashville, North Carolina

This expansion of the county’s historic courthouse adds space for the superior court, district court, clerk of court, the district attorney, and sheriff’s administration. The 100,600-square-foot facility includes a 37,370-square-foot expansion and approximately 4,300 square feet of unfinished shell space designed for future use as a courtroom. Areas vacated by the move into the expansion were renovated for the clerk of court and sheriff’s offices. The expansion also includes an underground tunnel connecting the existing jail to the courtrooms for efficient transportation of prisoners.
