Replacing an outdated facility, the new school accommodates nearly 2,000 students, but will be expanded to meet future enrollment needs of up to 2,400. The three-story layout features strategically located administrative and faculty areas that foster student supervision by a minimum number of staff. Completely ADA accessible, the building’s design locates academic areas separately from the auditorium and gym, which isolates noise and secures the building for after-hours use. Courtyards and large windows introduce controllable, natural light throughout the teaching spaces.

The building earned LEED Gold certification in 2007.
