Patrick Henry K-8 School’s design is inspired by its educational program that envisions the school as a collection of neighborhoods arranged around extended learning areas by grade level. In addition to core academic classrooms and administration spaces, the school includes art studios, instrumental spaces, gymnasium, media center, black-box theatre and a series of extended learning areas to serve as break-out spaces that create more flexible learning environments. The expanded recreation center accommodates the recreational needs of the immediate community, including offering programs to adults and senior citizens during the school day.

The facilities earned LEED Silver certification in 2020. They achieved Designed to Earn the Energy Star recognition.
