Designed and constructed based on a newly adopted master plan, the Rockingham County Courthouse is comprised of more than 90,000 square feet of court facilities for the county’s superior and district courts. Featuring modern audio-visual and data technology to present evidence in various formats, each courtroom has an entry vestibule to minimize noise and distractions from the public corridors. Conference rooms adjoin the vestibules to facilitate private discussions between attorneys and their clients.

The judicial center is Designed to Earn the Energy Star and was the first LEED Gold justice complex in the eastern United States.
