Encompassing more than 320,000 square feet, the FlatIrons complex includes two distinct levels of care: independent living and assisted living. The Independent Living includes activities that promote a rich living experience that enhance the senior’s physical and psychological health.  The assisted living portion of the building houses residents who require care associated with daily tasks of living as well as those managing Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other forms of cognitive deficiencies.

Specific design considerations are incorporated that allow long term care residents to stay in the safe home-like environment longer and avoid relocation to a more sterile hospital setting. Designed to address social, spiritual, physical, and cognitive needs of the residents, this facility features areas that foster socializing as well as spaces that provide privacy.
