The design of this 20,000-square-foot facility included four drive-through apparatus bays, sleeping quarters for 10, and a 2,500-square-foot training space that functions for community events for up to 175 citizens. Site development included a helipad, apparatus fueling station, and an emergency backup generator that provides full electrical service to the station in the event of a power outage. Sustainable features include low flow fixtures, roofing with high solar reflective index (SRI), and building materials with low volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
