Named for President Emeritus William M. Anderson, this new facility features more than 2,000 spectators for athletic events and 3,000 visitors for special events and concerts. Outside of housing large university functions, the facility serves as a backup venue for outdoor events during inclement weather. The new facility offers state-of-the-art amenities including a new performance court, a four-court practice gym, and a suspended jogging track. The University of Mary Washington Hall of Fame, president’s suite, concessions, restrooms, visitor/official locker rooms, storage, and building systems were also included in the project as support spaces to the convocation center.
