Moseley Architects provided a needs assessment, feasibility study, and full-service design for this new facility. Both the jail and law enforcement portions can be accessed by the public via a centralized lobby, containing a reception area and a video visitation area. The facility includes a vehicular sallyport, intake, and booking areas. Six housing pods consist of five individual-cell pods and one dormitory pod, enabling better classification and separation of inmates. Housing pods have video visitation capability and access to the centralized outdoor recreation area. A second-floor master control room, which provides for a compact and staff-efficient building plan configuration, monitors housing pods and the outdoor recreation area.
