Old Dominion University sought to repurpose the first and second levels of the campus’s existing Monarch Hall to establish a home for their School of Cybersecurity. Offering both undergraduate and graduate level programs, the university was focused on creating a center that elevated the program’s visibility, generated excitement about the program, showcased projects, and allowed ODU to remain competitive with peer institutions. Design plans included a solution that provided a sense of place for the school and offered interior choices that aligned with the school’s brand. The renovation consisted of new partitions, ceilings, flooring, and substantial mechanical and electrical update to support the new configuration.
