Baltimore, MD – Baltimore Business Journal announced Moseley Architects is the city’s fastest growing private company in 2019, based on an average revenue growth of 372.64% between 2016 and 2018.

Companies eligible for the publication’s annual “Fast 50 List” had at least $100,000 of revenue in 2016 and at least $1 million in 2018. The Baltimore Business Journal partnered with accounting and consulting firm SC&H Group to confirm Moseley Architects’ first-place ranking.

Formerly Marks Thomas Architects, the Baltimore-based architecture firm merged with Moseley Architects in 2018. The merger provided a Maryland location for Moseley Architects, which had nine existing offices throughout Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

As the firm’s second largest location behind its headquarters in Richmond, Virginia, the Baltimore office grew from a 50-person firm in 2017 to become part of a firm more than four times its size in 2018.

The Baltimore office allowed Moseley Architects to enter into the multifamily housing market, adding to its well-established areas of expertise in design for public schools, colleges and universities, local government facilities, correctional institutions and senior living housing.

Multifamily Housing Principal Faith Nevins Hawks accepted the award at the Baltimore Business Journal’s dinner honoring the list-makers on October 17, 2019.

“Baltimore has provided us the opportunities and support to grow. From talented designers to experienced financial advisors, Baltimore has what our business needs to grow and grow fast,” she said.
