Moseley Architects Moves to New Va Beach Office

On Monday, Aug. 28, Moseley Architects’ Virginia Beach team left their office of 30 years in Lynnhaven and relocated to a new office near the city’s Central Business District.

Location

Although the new location is fewer than seven miles northwest from the Lynnhaven office, it offers significant conveniences to the firm’s employees and visitors. The building is less than a mile from the Town Center and the Pembroke Square redevelopment, which includes popular restaurants, shops, a senior living community scheduled to open in 2024 and luxury apartments in 2026. From the new address on Corporation Lane, drivers can access Virginia Beach Boulevard, Independence Boulevard, and the Virginia Beach-Norfolk Expressway (I-264) within minutes.

Work Environment

With abundant natural light, the second-floor suite faces treetops on the banks of Thalia Creek. The bright, open office provides multiple types of working and collaborating environments to allow staff to be creative, to be interactive as needed and to be focused when required.

History

Moseley Architects operated from the Lynnhaven office since 1993, when it began serving municipal clients in the Hampton Roads region and clients in the higher education sector. From 1993 to 2015, under the tenacious leadership of George Nasis, AIA, Moseley Architects served nearly every public university in Virginia. This emphasis on collegiate architecture broadened the firm’s customer base across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

In 2015, Jeff Hyder, AIA, became the leader of the higher education sector and manager of the Virginia Beach office. Jeff continues to serve local municipal clients within the region as well as universities throughout the commonwealth. Earlier this month, he became the fourth president and CEO in the firm’s history.
