Lane Stadium
Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech
Blacksburg, Virginia

Looking to enhance spectator amenities, Virginia Tech was eager to expand and modernize Lane Stadium. Additions and improvements included new club seating, luxury suite seating, and improved support spaces including, concessions, novelty sales, ADA accessible facilities, locker facilities, press facilities, and stadium operations support spaces comparable to other top ten state-of-the-art NCAA Division I-A football facilities. The addition of more than 11,000 seats in the south endzone completed the seating bowl, which strengthened the team’s “home field advantage.” A club level containing club facilities for approximately 1,200 members and 15 luxury suites is located between the main and upper deck concourses.

The south end zone addition also provides additional stadium support spaces on the ground level including new visiting team locker rooms, press and radio interview rooms, and field maintenance operations. The west sideline expansion added 34 luxury suites on two levels. The existing press box was demolished and replaced with a new wraparound addition that contains a club area, president’s club, and press facilities. At the ground level, fans and guests access the new facilities through a two-story atrium featuring the Hokie Hall of Fame—a memorabilia area dedicated to the campus’s sports.
